  • What is the FAFSA?  
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the most important resources to help pay for your education.  Almost all colleges, universities and other post-secondary education institutions require that you complete the FAFSA in order to offer you financial help.  You will have to file your FAFSA each year that you are attending a post-secondary institution. 7 Things to know before applying to FAFSA

  • When should I apply?
 The FAFSA is available starting on October 1st, the year prior to your enrollment in a post-secondary institution. The FAFSA will collect income information from an earlier tax year from you and your parents/guardians if you are under 24 years old. Apply by March 2nd.
  • What are Scholarships? 
Scholarships are available from colleges, companies, organizations, private donors, and community based organizations. It is free money that you do not have to pay back.
