Parent VUE is a website or application that provides parents of middle school and high school students with access to:
  • near-real-time grades
  • attendance
  • student calendar
  • classwork and homework
  • ability to send emails to teachers
  • update your information anytime (child's address, phone number, email address, and emergency contacts)
  • it is also required for digitally registering your student each year

Parent VUE
 
If your student attends or will attend SUHSD, you must create a ParentVUE account to register your student for school.
 

Step 1: Create Your Account

  • Create Your Account.
  • For the purposes of these instructions, you will be creating an account as a parent. Choose one of the options listed:
    • Option 1: Never logged on. I need an activation key.
    • Option 2: I have an activation key. I'm ready to set up my account.
    • Option 3: I've already set up my account I'm ready to log in.
  • If you’re a parent and have more than one student active in SUHSD, to receive your activation key, choose one student to fill out the information for.

Option 1: If You Need an Activation Key

Please contact the school registrar to obtain your activation key.

Option 2: I Have an Activation Key

Follow these instructions to create your account if you have received your activation key. 
 
  • Click on Activate Account
  • Read the Privacy Statement and click the "I accept " button located in the bottom left corner of the window to proceed.
  • Enter your first name, last name, and activation key. Click on Continue to Step 3 button located at the bottom of the window to proceed.
  • Read the directions carefully. You are now asked to create a permanent username, password, and a primary email address.
  • After you fill out all the fields, click on the Complete Account Activation button located at the bottom of the window to proceed.
  • Upon successful completion, you will be logged into your Parent VUE account portal.

Option 3: I have a Parent VUE Account Set Up

  • Go directly to Parent VUE to sign in to your account. 
  • You will be taken directly to the ParentVUE/StudentVUE login page. Enter the username and password you created when you set up your account. Click “Login” to access your account.

Step 2: Complete Online Registration

Families must log into their Parent VUE account to complete registration. Verify that all student information is up to date.

Step 3: Prepare Your Documents

To make the online registration process smooth and convenient, please have the following information available:
  • Proof of address
  • Student's Birth Certificate
  • Parent/guardian(s) name and contact information
  • Emergency contacts and phone number(s)
  • Health information including the name of your healthcare provider, dentist, health conditions, and/or medication (if applicable)
  • Immunization Card
  • Custodial documentation (if applicable)
 
 

Step 4: Log into Your Parent VUE Account to Verify Student Information

Once you log into ParentVUE, you'll be asked to review and update your student's information:
  • Address
  • Parent/guardian(s) name and contact information
  • Emergency contacts and phone number(s)
  • Student information
  • Health information including the name of your healthcare provider, dentist, health conditions, and/or medication (if applicable)
  • Immunizations
  • Information Release
  • Parent/Guardian relationships
  • Disciplinary history
 
As you complete the annual verification process you may notice that some fields are non-editable. If any information provided in ParentVUE is incorrect, please contact your student's school to update that information.
  • Mandatory fields will be indicated by a red asterisk (*) and will prevent a parent from moving forward until completed.
  • Due to the REAL ID Act of 2005, all information provided by the parent or guardian should match legal documentation.

Step 5: Provide Proof of Residency, Additional Documentation

Families of incoming 7th and 9th graders need to provide proof of residency. 
The registration process is not complete until you have provided this information.

  • Immunization Card
  • Signature Page
  • Health History Form
  • Student Residency Affidavit
