Women's History Month: Gloria Chaidez
Happy Women’s History Month!
This month, we’re excited to celebrate the incredible women of our school district who have made and are making a lasting impact on our community!
Principal Gloria Chaidez is a Salinas native who is an alumnus of our district! Ms. Chaidez has a rich and impressive educational and career history, which started when she received her bachelor's degree in psychology and chicano/a studies from San Diego State University before moving on and obtaining her master's degree in educational leadership from Sacramento State University. Principal Chaidez has been part of our district since 2001, working as a teacher at El Sausal Middle School for five years, an Activities Director at Alisal High School for five years, as Assistant Principal at Alisal High School for seven years, and for the past five years she has served as Principal of Mount Toro High School and Carr Lake Community Day School.
We commend Ms. Chaidez for her passion for building strong, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff, in order to foster a strong school community! Thank you for inspiring us all and paving the way for future generations of women!
