Yuliana Camacho: Shining Stars of SUHSD

Yuliana Camacho is a dedicated advocate for students and families, bringing invaluable resources and support to the Everett Alvarez High School community. Formerly the Homeless and Foster Youth Liaison for the district, Yuliana’s passion for working directly with families led her to become a Community Liaison, where she could focus on building strong relationships and ensuring families have the support they need to thrive.

 

In her role, Yuliana connects families with vital community resources, from medical benefits and food pantries to clothing, school supplies, and permanent affordable housing. She ensures that every student has access to the essentials, allowing them to focus on learning without the burden of unmet basic needs.

 

She also facilitates a weekly parent group every Tuesday at 9 a.m., welcoming all Everett Alvarez parents. These meetings provide families with opportunities to learn about local organizations and the free assistance available to them. Beyond just awareness, Yuliana personally helps families connect with these services, ensuring they receive the help they need.

 

Her impact extends beyond individual families—she plays a vital role in coordinating school-wide events, such as the first annual school-wide Posada, and helps organize transportation for at-risk students. She also leads the School Site Council, fostering parent engagement, which is an essential component of student success.

 

Yuliana’s dedication to the Everett Alvarez community has not gone unnoticed. Her unwavering commitment was recently recognized as she was named Everett Alvarez High School’s Employee of the Month. As a staff member dedicated to parent engagement, Yuliana is an essential pillar of the school, ensuring families feel supported, connected, and empowered to help their children succeed.
