The money raised benefits instrumental and vocal music students along with ColorGuard by helping fund scholarships and trips; defraying accompanist and music coach salaries; purchasing equipment, supplies and uniforms; and purchasing and repairing instruments.
All parents or guardians of SHS Music Program students are members of the SHMA by their student’s participation in the music program. Find out more about our SHS Music Program at the SHMA Board Meetings held the second Monday of each month.
The SHS Music Program includes the Jazz Band; Marching Band; ColorGuard; Concert Band; Strings; Vocal Choir including A Capella, Bel Canto, Chorale, Vocal Jazz and Barbershop Quartet.
The Parent Posse is a program created to increase parent involvement and engagement for the SHS Marching Band and ColorGuard.
