Hartnell Academy for College Excellence (ACE) Cohort Overview
Mount Toro High School (MTHS) partnered with Academy for College Excellence (ACE) program of Hartnell College to pilot a student cohort for the 2017 fall semester. The ACE program is a one semester program that allows a smooth transition from MTHS to Hartnell College. During the fall semester at Hartnell College students will discover and learn educational life skills and techniques, be supported by a learning community cohort, research community issues and develop action plans, and assist with career exploration.

In accordance with its mission of ensuring that all students shall have equal access to a quality education and the opportunity to pursue and achieve their goals, it is also the college's responsibility to ensure that the students who graduate with an AA or AS degree should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
Students will demonstrate reading comprehension and expository writing skills at a college level.
