Class Elections

  • Lead the Pack ! Be a Class Officer ! 

    The Harden Middle School Associated Student Body Program is looking for class officers to LEAD THE PACK Huskies do everything together. We will, at times, have different people who are in charge of different activities at different points during the year. When you are not in charge of an event, each of you will be on certain committees helping whoever is in charge get everything done that needs to be completed. Below are some examples that everyone will participate in, regardless of position. 

    • Help plan and organize dances, spirit weeks, assemblies, elections, competitions 
    • Promote, attend, set-up, clean-up, evaluate all the activities above; ensure their success • Design, draw, cut, paint props and posters 
    • Speak in front of large groups 
    • Work in class to accomplish committee and job responsibilities 
    • Work in the student store and sell dance tickets as assigned 
    • Participate in all ASB fundraisers • Attend ASB camp and retreat 
    • Participate professionally in daily meetings


    President

    • Represent the student body at school, district and civic events and meetings 
    • Be responsible for coordinating and participating in school activities
    • Supervise the elected Student Body Officers 
    • Attend and develop the agenda for the all student council meetings and school district meetings


    Vice President

    • Represent the student body at school, district and civic events and meetings 
    • Be responsible for coordinating and participating in school activities
    • Assists the president in supervising the Student Body Officers 
    • Develop other responsibilities of importance
    • Approving promotional posters
    • Music & Audio at Dances/ Make sure everything is ready for dances


    Secretary

    • Maintain the Student Council file
    • Assist in preparing an agenda for all meetings 
    • Record and distribute minutes of meeting 
    • Represent the student body at school, district and civic events and meetings 
    • Responsible for keeping a record of all activities and events that the ASB is a part of. 
    • Works to keep a digital history and scrapbook for ASB as well as helping with other technical aspects of the events that are organized by the ASB


    Historian

    • Responsible for keeping a record of all activities and events that the ASB is a part of. 
    • Works to keep a digital history and scrapbook for ASB as well as helping with other technical aspects of the events that are organized by the ASB. 
    • Make videos as per request of the Leadership class. 
    • Take pictures and document all ASB activities, events, etc.
    • Design Monthly Calendars - and awareness days
    • Bulletin Boards


    Treasurer

    • Be the primary student involved in the preparation of the annual budget
    • Work with school treasurer to maintain financial record of the student body account 
    • Assist the school treasurer with sales and spending records 
    • Coordinate fund raising project for the student body 
    • Represent the student body at school, district and civic events and meetings 
    • Design Dance Tickets/ Sell Dance Tickets


    Commissioner of Spirit

    • Responsible for maintaining the Activities Calendar for the school year
    • Responsible for increasing spirit at all events
    • Responsible for managing, organizing and collaborating with committee heads for all dances 
    • Responsible for facilitating discussion and development of all events in connection with the dances (assemblies, spirit weeks etc)
    • Work to integrate teachers into the spirit of the school activities


    Public Relations

    • In charge of communication throughout out school with Mrs. Brooks and HHTV
    • Morning Announcements 
    • MC at events
