Monica Lujan has proudly called Salinas home for many years and brings to the Board of Trustees the perspective of a parent, community advocate, and dedicated public servant. She is committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and believes strong schools are built through collaboration, compassion, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community.

Known for her approachable nature and willingness to listen, Trustee Lujan values building relationships with students, parents, educators, and community members. She recognizes that every student's educational journey is unique and works to support policies and opportunities that help all students reach their full potential.

Trustee Lujan's background in healthcare has reinforced her belief that student well-being is fundamental to academic success. She understands the importance of creating learning environments where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow, and she brings that perspective to her service on the Board.

Outside of her role as a trustee, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and remains actively connected to the Salinas community she is proud to serve.
