Twelve SUHSD schools earned 2026 California PBIS Recognition, highlighting the dedicated teams, strong systems of support and student-centered practices helping create positive school communities across the district.

California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond visited Salinas High School as part of his Welcome Back to School Tour, connecting with students, visiting classrooms, and sharing a message of perseverance, opportunity, and the power of education.

North Salinas High School senior Arjun Gakhal was sworn in as SUHSD’s Student Trustee during the August 11 Board meeting. He will serve throughout the 2026–27 school year, representing student perspectives and helping ensure student voice remains part of District decision-making.
