Dear Salinas Union High School District Community,

It is an honor to serve as Superintendent of the Salinas Union High School District, a community defined by its strength, diversity, resilience, and unwavering commitment to young people.

I believe education has the power to transform lives, strengthen families, and shape the future of our community. Every student deserves to be known, challenged, supported, and inspired. They deserve schools where they feel safe, where their identity is valued, and where they know they belong.

That belief guides how I lead.

Strong leadership requires listening with intention, building authentic relationships, and having the courage to make decisions centered on what is best for students. It also requires compassion, accountability, and a clear understanding that the success of our district depends on the trust and collective efforts of our entire community.

Our students are leaders, thinkers, creators, and contributors. It is our responsibility to provide meaningful learning experiences, caring adults, and opportunities that allow them to discover their strengths, pursue their aspirations, and graduate prepared for college, career, and life.

I am continually inspired by the educators, classified professionals, administrators, and support teams who serve our students each day. Every classroom, office, campus, and department contributes to their success. Each of us has a role, and each of us belongs to one team united by a shared purpose.

Our families are essential partners in this work. The trust you place in us is a responsibility I carry with great care. Your voices, experiences, and hopes for your children help us become a stronger and more responsive school district.

I am also grateful to serve alongside our Board of Trustees and community partners, whose leadership and advocacy strengthen our ability to create greater access, opportunity, and excellence for every student.

My commitment to SUHSD is deeply personal. I will continue to lead with love, integrity, urgency, and an unwavering belief in the brilliance and potential of our young people.
