College Admissions Requirements

California State University (CSU) A-G Requirements:
The CSU requires a minimum 15-unit pattern of courses for admission as a first-time freshman. Each unit is equal to a year of study in a subject area. A grade of C or better is required for each course you use to meet any subject requirement.
- History and Social Science - 2 Years
- English - 4 Years
- Math - 3 Years (4 years recommended)
- Laboratory Science - 2 Years (3 years recommended)
- Language Other Than English - 2 Years of the same language (3 years recommended)
- Visual and Performing Arts - 1 Year
- College Preparatory Elective - 1 Year
Students must have have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (2.0-2.49 GPAs may be considered under special circumstances)
SAT or ACT are no longer required for CSU Admissions.

University of California (UC) A-G Requirements:
The UC requires a minimum 15-unit pattern of courses for admission as a first-time freshman. Each unit is equal to a year of study in a subject area. A grade of C or better is required for each course you use to meet any subject requirement. You must complete at least 11 of these courses prior to the beginning of your last year of high school.
- History and Social Science - 2 Years
- English - 4 Years
- Math - 3 Years (4 years recommended)
- Laboratory Science - 2 Years (3 years recommended)
- Language Other Than English - 2 Years of the same language (3 years recommended)
- Visual and Performing Arts - 1 Year
- College Preparatory Elective - 1 Year
Students must have have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for in state students and 3.4 for out of state students.
SAT or ACT are no longer required for UC Admissions.
