Textbook Make-Ups
Did you miss our textbook distribution? No worries. Students of all grades can visit us from 8am-12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday to turn in and get your current textbooks. Enter via the McKinnon traffic light.

Textbook Distribution this Week
Textbook distribution for the spring semester will occur this week. Please see the schedule on the picture to the left and note the precautions we will be taking for Covid-19, including the use of vehicle trunks to maximize the safety for all.

Lunch Distribution Returns to All School Days
Lunches are again available to all students on school days from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the student parking lot off of Alvin Drive.

Classes Resume with Live, Online Classes on January 11th
The spring semester will resume on Monday, January 11th, 2021. Unlike our typical schedule, Monday will be a synchronous day (live, online classes). To see the detailed schedule, click the red title of this post or visit nshs.us/DistanceSchedule

School Offices Closed for Holidays
North Salinas High School will be closed starting at 3:00pm on December 18th and will reopen beginning at 8:00am on January 4th, 2021 with the exception of meal distribution on Monday 12/21 and Monday 12/28 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. During this time we will be unavailable for in-person visits, phone calls, or texts. We wish you all a happy holiday and look forward to seeing our students again the first day of the next semester, Monday January 11th, 2021. La escuela secundaria de North Salinas estará cerrada a partir de las 3:00pm el 18 de diciembre y abrirá a las 8:00am el 4 de diciembre de 2021 con la excepción de la distribución de almuerzos lunes 12/21 y lunes 12/28 entre las 12:00pm y las 3:00pm. Durante estas semanas no seremos disponibles para visitas en persona, llamadas de teléfono o mensajes de texto. Deseamos felices vacaciones a todos y esperamos ver a nuestros estudiantes otra vez el primer dÃa del siguiente semestre lunes el 11 de enero de 2021.

Mission Trails ROP hosts Ground Breaking Ceremony for new CTE & Public Health Laboratory building
For the second week in a row, the Salinas Union High School District broke ground on a new construction project. This one will serve hundreds of students in the District’s ROP program.

Mount Toro hosts groundbreaking for new building
Mount Toro High School welcomed a large crowd of guests to the ground breaking ceremony for its new Multi-Purpose/Child Development Center on Oct. 16.
