  • Special Schedule Testings

    Click the red text above to see special testing schedules for the 2019 CAASPP Administration. Note that Tuesday April 2 and Friday April 5 the school will begin with 6th period and run through classes backwards. On Monday April 8th only periods 1, 3, and 5 will meet for block periods. On Tuesday April 9th only periods 2, 4, 6 will meet for block periods.

  • Critical Issues Forum

    Our first-time SUHSD students presented on the topic of "Building Empathy through Cultural Education." Our students' message, urging the importance of cross-cultural understanding was felt by participants and staff at CIF, as their message was referenced and reiterated several times throughout the conference.

  • Dress up Days This Week

    Dress up this week in preparation for the district powderpuff game! Monday: Wear pink if taken, yellow if complicated, and green if single. Tuesday: Opposite Day. Wednesday: Mathletes vs. Athletes. Thursday: Rivalry Day. Friday: School Sprit Day.

  • NSHS Students Honored in PCAL All League Awards

    This week the Pacific Coast Athletic League announced its all-league rosters and coaches of the year for winter sports. Among the honored were a number of NSHS players and coaches. Coach Darren Jackson (Girls Basketball) and coach Jesus Gomez (Boys Soccer) both won coach of the year for their respective divisions having brought their teams to the CCS playoffs and winning the PCAL League Co-Champions title. In girls soccer, Sofia Camacho was named to 1st Team All League, Samantha Hererra made 2nd team, and Nava Montserrat was named to the Sportsmanship team. For girls basketball, senior Destiney Urzua and sophomore Leslie Jauregui were named to the 1st Team All League, junior Natalie Acuña made 2nd Team All League, and Selah Bushnell was named to the All Sportsmanship Team. In boys basketball senior Fabian Valdez was named 2nd Team All League and Senior Guy James made the All Sportsmanship team. Lastly, in boys soccer the offensive player of the year was Ezequiel Hernandez, 1st Team All League went to Ezequiel Hernandez, Bryan Mendoza,and Edgar Oviedo while 2nd Team All League went to Bryan Martinez and Juan Flores.
