Alisal High School Library


The library has over 20,000 volumes of books, ebooks, magazines,a virtual reference library, an online library catalog, 30 student computers, 2 online databases and 8 online newspapers. Library orientation and Information Literacy classes take place during the first semester for incoming freshmen students. Students are welcome before school, during lunch and after school; or during class time with a pass from their teacher.

Library Policies

Book Check Outs: Books may be checked out for up to four weeks. Students may check out up to five books at a time. Students with overdue books cannot check out books.

Book Renewals: Student must bring book to be scanned for renewal. Books with holds are not renewable.

Book Holds: Students may request to hold a book from the online Library catalog, Destiny located on the library or student portal websites. Student must be logged in to Destiny to be able to place holds. (Log-In: Username: ID# Password: gmail password) Once the book on hold is returned we will notify students via email that the book will be held for the student for three days.

Overdue & Lost Books: There are no fines charged for overdue books. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair the student will be fined the original cost of the book. If a lost book is returned within the quarter of receiving payment student will be reimbursed.

Computer Rules: No Food or drink allowed in the computer area. School work takes precedence. No violent or pornographic images, games, or social media use.

Printing: Printing is for school work only. Please inform library staff before any printing.

The library is always accepting students seeking to fulfill their community service requirements. Please stop by the library and speak to one of the staff.

If there is a particular title that the library does not have, please feel free to suggest that we add it to the collection. You can use our Purchase Suggestion Form
