  • NSHS Students Honored in PCAL All League Awards

    This week the Pacific Coast Athletic League announced its all-league rosters and coaches of the year for winter sports. Among the honored were a number of NSHS players and coaches. Coach Darren Jackson (Girls Basketball) and coach Jesus Gomez (Boys Soccer) both won coach of the year for their respective divisions having brought their teams to the CCS playoffs and winning the PCAL League Co-Champions title. In girls soccer, Sofia Camacho was named to 1st Team All League, Samantha Hererra made 2nd team, and Nava Montserrat was named to the Sportsmanship team. For girls basketball, senior Destiney Urzua and sophomore Leslie Jauregui were named to the 1st Team All League, junior Natalie Acuña made 2nd Team All League, and Selah Bushnell was named to the All Sportsmanship Team. In boys basketball senior Fabian Valdez was named 2nd Team All League and Senior Guy James made the All Sportsmanship team. Lastly, in boys soccer the offensive player of the year was Ezequiel Hernandez, 1st Team All League went to Ezequiel Hernandez, Bryan Mendoza,and Edgar Oviedo while 2nd Team All League went to Bryan Martinez and Juan Flores.

  • NSHS Senior Wins 2nd Place in Story Slam Contest

    Congratulations to Leah Gentry, Class of 2019, who took second place in the local Story Slam Contest held at the Steinbeck Center on Saturday!

  • CCS Match-ups for This Week Announced

    With a 2-0 win at Cupertino High School on Saturday, the boys soccer team will travel to the #3 seeded Menlo School on Wednesday for a 3:00pm match-up for the CCS Semi-finals. Meanwhile the girls basketball team will face-off against #5 seed Menlo-Atherton high school on Tuesday at 7:00pm at home. Menlo-Atherton defeated Homestead High 57-45 on Saturday to get to the CCS Quarterfinals against the Vikings.

  • CCS Playoff Match-ups Announced

    The League Co-Champ Boys Soccer team will travel to face second seed Cupertino High School at 5pm on Saturday, February 16th in the quarterfinal round of the Boys Division II CCS tournament. Our League Co-Champ girls received a double-bye as a four seed and will play host to the winner of Menlo Atherton vs. Homestead/Piedmont Hills at 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 19th. Lastly 12 of our NSHS wrestlers will take on the competition in the CCS Playoffs taking place Friday, February 15th and Saturday, February 16th

  • Congratulations to Winter Sports Champions

    Congratulations to our winter sports champions! Our boys soccer team clinched a CCS Playoff Berth and became PCAL Mission League Co-Champions with a 3-2 win over Christopher High. They will play their first playoff game on Saturday. In wrestling, 12 of our Vikings will represent NSHS in the CCS Wrestling Tournament starting on Friday, February 15th. Lastly, our girls basketall team will also likely represent NSHS in the CCS Playoffs. The seeding meeting for that tournament will occur on Wednesday, February 13th. Well done Vikings!
